About The WCDBA
The WCDBA is a newly formed racing association that will run all its five events at MRP, within MRP’s regular 2021 drag racing schedule. The goal of this organization is to revive motorcycle drag racing in the lower mainland of BC.

We will encourage riders to bring all those dusty drag bikes, which are sitting in the back corner of shops, back to the track. We also encourage ‘street riders’ to run with us as well by offering ‘drag race school’ which will include classroom and start line sessions. At this point we have approximately 8 drag bikes that will compete. As the ‘word’ gets out we expect this number to increase.
Our motto is ‘run what you brung’.

At this point, there will be three classes, with wheelie bars (W) and without (W/O), and Pro Street (P/ST) ; open to all makes of gasoline motorcycles. W and W/O will run as dial-in classes and use a Pro Tree. P/ST will run heads ups and use a Pro Tree. Drag bikes and street bikes will be required to meet the strict safety rules of NHRA. Competitors will be required to be WCDBA members and display decaled numbers plates in W class and WCDBA decals in W/O class. All competitors and their crews will be expected to operate in a professional manner as regulated by the WCDBA and MRP.

WCDBA members will pay the MRP user fees. WCDBA membership fees has not been determined as yet.
All of the WCBDA events, test & tune, race schools and races would be held on Saturdays. Saturday has been identified as the more optimum competition day as many would-be participants and spectators have many other commitments and activities that demand their time. It is believed that a single day ‘race’, half a dozen times a year, would have greater participation than two-day events.

The WCDBA should not undermine the current motorcycle class at MRP, it may actually enhance it. The expectation is that some members may also use Friday nights and Sundays to test as well. Our members will also be encouraged to participate in the CMDRA race at MRP.
WCDBA has launched its website, a Facebook page, and posters for select motorcycle shops, motorcycle dealerships and motorcycle clubs.
let's go racing.................
